How much will the cake cost?

Because each cake is custom designed, we do not have a standard price list. Cakes are generally priced on a “per serving” basis, and most fall in the £2 to £4 range. Of course, the size, design and complexity of the desired cake dictate the final price. We are always happy to give you a fixed price for your dream cake. With our experience we are happy to suggest alternative designs, so as to help you achieve the “Wow!” within your budget.
Of course, we are happy to arrange a tasting appointment for you, with up to four flavours of cake and a variety of filling choices. There is a £15 fee for this tasting, which is deducted from the price of the cake if an order is placed.

Do you offer tastings?

I found a picture of a cake that I just love on the web or in a magazine – can you make it?

Everyone for their special occasion and especially brides deserves a cake that is uniquely to their wishes. We will use your ideas and work with you to incorporate any designs you have seen into a unique cake just for you.
Because we are a bespoke cake-maker, we can only accept a limited number of cakes orders for any given date, and our order book can fill up quickly. Therefore, at least 2 to 6 months in advance order is recommend, although last minute cakes can at times be accommodated depending on circumstances.   By placing an order and paying a deposit, your date is held and we can work on design details at your convenience. All cake orders require a 50% deposit.

I am getting married or having a party. How soon should I order my cake?

What are the steps in making my cake?

(i)                  The finest way to get started is to either email me or fill out the Contact Form found on this website. This way, we can let you know if we can accommodate your date.

(ii)                You will need to schedule an initial design consultation. This can be in person or over the phone. Let me have any ideas, photos and/or colours with you. During the initial consultation, together we will identify the design options and cake flavour choices.

(iii)               A second appointment can be made to accommodate a tasting (if desired). We will also finalise the design details and any sketches I have done for you.

(iv)              Then place the order…and…relax! Your Cake By Sue will be spectacular!

We work primarily in Warwickshire and surrounding counties. We can arrange delivery almost anywhere in United Kingdom. Delivery charges and set-up are charged extra.

How far away will you deliver?

How do I freeze the top tier from my wedding cake for my anniversary?

Even with fast freezing and careful wrapping a cake after a year is not going to be really tasty. However, for a small charge we can make an anniversary cake for you;  just give us a call 2-4 weeks ahead of your anniversary celebration.
